Quality of information from complete pharmaco-economic assessments conducted in Cuba

Introduction: In Cuba there is vast experience in conducting comprehensive economic evaluations as a decision-making tool to determine the efficiency of drugs use.
Objective: Asses the quality of the information of complete pharmaco-economic assessments carried out in Cuba.
Methods: Descriptive research in which documentation was obtained without temporal delimitation in Spanish from the databases SciELO, LILACS, Redalyc, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar search engine with the use of keywords. The quality of the content of the pharmaco-economic information was analyzed and interpreted using the guidelines of the Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards and the International Society for Pharmaco-economics and Outcomes Research that establish basic criteria in a checklist.
Conclusions: The content of the documents that report economic assessments of medicines in Cuba regularly comply with the guidelines of the Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards and the International Society for Pharmaco-economics and Outcomes Research; there are aspects to be declared that must be included in an updated Cuban guide of economic assessments to be in tune with the criteria that are considered at the international level.
